A quick heads-up before we get started this week….
Keep an eye-out on your email box tomorrow….
I’ve been doing some work on a FREE report that I think you’ll be interested in….
I’ve been busy reviewing 140,000+ races run in Britain over the last 16-years. I’ve been looking at something very specific….
The results might surprise you. They might not change the way you bet the races. You might already be taking my findings into account. But what my free report reveals will certainly ensure that you bet in possession of the full facts about race-markets work….
In tomorrow’s email you’ll get a link that will enable you to immediately access this free report….
Be sure to look out for that email….
Onto the business in hand….
We’re down at Cheltenham tomorrow on Festival Trails Day for the G3 Spectra Cyber Security Solutions Trophy Handicap Chase over the extended 2m4f trip and 17 fences on the New course….
It’s another field of just 11 runners going to post on ground described this afternoon as good to soft (good in places)….
The weather makes things a little more complicated than idea. There’s rain forecast tomorrow afternoon. But how much of that falls (if any) ahead of the start time is anybody’s guess….
If it tips it down ahead of the race, then it could turn up softer by the time they go to post. It’s something to be aware of….
We’ll get to my selections for tomorrow’s race in a moment….
First a quick word on the other best I’m placing this weekend….
Only 11 runners go to post for tomorrow afternoon’s edition of the Sky Bet Handicap Chase up at Doncaster….
But no matter. The shape of the market is such that the race lends itself to the way I most like to play these classy handicaps….
I’m two-against-the-field on a pair of horses trading at nice prices. Both might well be underestimated – albeit for different reasons….
You can get immediate access to these extra bets on the website when you take a FREE 14-day test drive of my Against the Crowd service….
Back to tomorrow’s target race and the pick of the prices….
As per usual in handicaps like this, the largest portion of the field can’t be entirely discounted….
The one that appeals at the price is the Nigel-Twiston-trained BALLYHILL at the 9s with Ladbrokes and 8s generally.…
He’s been in a nice vein of form this term – going well over hurdles at Bangor before landing a decent handicap at Aintree where the front two pulled well clear of the rest and the Twiston-Davies horse was 3-lengths clear of his nearest pursuer….
He went up a whopping 10lbs for that performance. But it didn’t stop him running a good race when trying to win for a second time the race he’d won over tomorrow’s course and distance on New Year’s Day 2018….
He gave it a really good go though, and looked the winner turning into the straight. His run petered out a little on hill. Maybe the extra poundage took its toll….
But the front three were well clear of the remainder and it was still a good effort behind a horse that is better than a handicapper and very good at Cheltenham (Aso) and Happy Diva to whom he was conceding 4lbs….
If the weight was the issue, the problem might have been remedied tomorrow with 7lb claimer Jordan Nailor replacing Sam Twiston-Davies in the saddle….
The 8yo is a decent proposition at Cheltenham and has proved himself effective on the New chase course twice. He’s versatile and handles all manner of ground, so whatever the weather chucks at the track between now and tomorrow afternoon, Ballyhill will be alright….
The Pick of the Prices….
To recap on where my contrarian money will be going tomorrow afternoon….
In the Spectra Cyber Security Solutions Trophy Handicap Chase (1.50 @ Cheltenham).
That is my take on where the value lies – but you will no doubt have your own ideas and that’s exactly as it should be.
Don’t forget to keep an eye out for the link to the free report I’ll be sending over tomorrow….
No strings. No hoops to jump through. No obligations. Not a single penny to pay. Just information – with my compliments – that I think you’ll find both interesting and useful when it comes to your race-betting….
That’s all from me this week.
Enjoy your weekend.
P.S. Tomorrow’s email will also show you how to sign-up to a new and free email service designed to assist and inform a very particular set of sports-betting punters. I think you’ll fit right in to that group. So, be sure to take a look….
