I’m on STONEACRE DONNY in the 2.25 at Doncaster – up at 11s….

The job is to look beyond the obvious….

…. and in tomorrow’s Pertemps Network Handicap at Doncaster (2.25)….

…. STONEACRE DONNY is the one that could be overpriced at the 11s – just a few days on from landing a handicap at York….

This is a definite step-up the ladder, but he won readily enough that last time….

…. and he could still contain secrets under a 6lb penalty….

The quick turnaround is interesting….

…. not too many horses need a second run so hard on the heels of a first….

…. and I take his participation as a positive – I take the view he must be showing them something at home to encourage them to go again….

He put in some good handicap performances earlier in the term before running a clunker at York in July – when it seems he was overcome by heat….

He’s had a break since then….

…. he came back with a bang at York just a few days ago….

…. and there could be more to come from him yet….
