The pick of the prices in the Imperial Cup….

Just a brief one from me today….

…. I’m gearing up for Cheltenham next week….

It’s a quiet weekend – with only the Imperial Cup at Sandown (2.25) appealing as a betting heat…..

…. and MAN O WORK at the general 9s & 10s is the pick of the prices for my money….

The Festina Lente at the Dublin Festival is one of the most fiercely contested handicap hurdles of the Irish season….

Peter Fahey’s charge departed too soon to play a hand in this season’s edition at Leopardstown last month….

…. but he wasn’t unfancied going into the race….

…. and the time before – in another valuable handicap event at Fairyhouse – he’d served notice that a big-field scenario might just turn out to be his bag….

He’s got a little more seasoning than most of the others when it comes to big-field experience – something that can work to his advantage tomorrow….

18 horses go to post and the hustle and bustle of such a big field will come as a shock to some. Some won’t cope. Others will adapt – but often on some afternoon in the future….

Man O Work already has operational experience in a big-field pressure cooker environment – and that experience is to his benefit tomorrow….

The pick of the prices….

To recap on my bet for tomorrow….

In the 2.25 @ Sandown….

  • Pick of the prices – MAN O WORK (9s & 10s generally)

e/w terms = Sky Bet are 1/5 the first 7. It's 1/5 the first 5 generally....

Advised prices are correct on publication – but prices are subject to fluctuation. Consult Oddschecker – you may find better quotes and terms than advised….

  • The last word….

That’s all for today….

Look out for me in your inbox over the weekend….

I’ll be in touch on Saturday and again on Sunday….
