New Image is a non-runner in tomorrow’s Golden Mile at Goodwood (3.00)….
Fortunately, we have time….
One of the benefits of me going out so early with my advice is that I’ve got plenty of lag worked into the process….
…. and I can go out with alternative selections when things like this happen….
CLASSIC is the alternative pick at the general 9s….
He’s been stymied by soft ground in two of his last three runs….
…. but given some better ground he showed what he can do at Newbury the time before last when second to Two Tempting off 92….
He wasn’t beaten far and can probably be judged unlucky given that he had to pick his way through the field from the rear….
His mark looks workable, he’s drawn low and the decent ground will help him….
